(11-28-24) A Candlelight Vigil will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery, located at the corner of Greenville and S. Ash Streets in St. Marys, Ohio, on Thursday, December 5th 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The Angel of Hope Prayer Garden was created as a place for healing, hope, and peace for all parents, families, and friends of all faiths, who have ever grieved the loss of a child for any reason, whether it’s miscarriage, stillbirth, death of a child at any age, failed adoption, abortion or estrangement. We invite all who are grieving, including family members, friends, and members of the community, to come together for this special time of remembrance.

This event coincides with vigils across the country and is the perfect time to join with family, friends, and or members of the community to honor your precious child before the Christmas holiday. The angel statue is a symbol of hope, offering a space for reflection and healing. Please join us as we remember all children who have left us too soon and find solace in the love and support of those around us.
The ceremony is open to the public and will take place in front of the Angel of Hope statue in the Gethsemane Cemetery, located at the corner of Greenville and S. Ash Streets, St. Marys, Ohio. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Chapel at Elm Grove Cemetery, located just across the street. After the ceremony, the attendees are invited to bring and leave a flower at the base of the angel as a tribute and candles will be provided.
