Churches in the City of St. Marys fall under the R-1 single, family residential zone. This restricts churches from being used as multi-family residences. The Administration is unaware of any credible evidence that any church in the city is operating outside of current zoning regulations.

The Administration reached out to other political subdivisions on the matter and found there was no credible evidence of churches outside the area violating zoning regulations within their respective jurisdictions, including being used as multi-family residences.
