(7-31-24) Trent L. Butler (52) Celina, due to heavy damage had to have his vehicle towed after hitting a deer in Jay County.

The incident took place along County Road 300 North in Jay County around 6 a.m. Friday. Butler was driving his 2016 Ford Focus west near County Road 600 East when a deer ran in front of his vehicle and he was unable to avoid hitting the deer.

No word on the condition of the injured animal.
