(4-20-24) During a ceremony held yesterday at Wapakoneta City Hall, Henry Spencer was sworn in as Patrol Officer with Wapakoneta Police Department by Mayor Dan Lee.

Officer Spencer graduated high school from St. Marys Memorial High School and recently completed his Basic Peace Officer Certification at Wright State Police Academy.

Henry applied at Wapakoneta Police Department because he is from the area and was impressed with the community support given to law enforcement officers. Officer Spencer wanted to be a police officer because every day was different and he wanted to help others.

Officer Spencer lives in Auglaize County with his family. For the next 12 weeks, Officer Spencer will be going through field training under the guidance of Officer Nathan Jerome.
