(2-5-24) Entrance to the doors to the Allen County (Indiana) Courthouse were smashed Friday evening around 7:30 pm, the suspect approached the courthouse and broke out the glass on the front doors using a sledgehammer. The man entered the courthouse and broke out the glass on several other doors before fleeing the scene.
Allen County Sheriff’s Department (ACSD) released the name of a suspect early Sunday morning., Christopher Peters (36) of Fort Wayne, has been charged with Criminal Mischief, a level 6 felony, and Burglary, a level 5 felony.
Peters is presently being held at the Allen County Jail.
The ACSD has estimated that the damage was between $15,000-$20,000.
