(1-1-24) On 12-31-2023 at approximately 11:15 pm deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 2200 block of N. Glenwood Ave. Lima, Ohio (American Township), in reference to a fight and shots fired complaint.
Upon arrival deputies found witnesses, a deceased adult male victim, and a suspect, in the homes garage. The victim’s name will not be released until being positively identified. The victim appears to have died from a single gunshot wound but the investigation is on-going.
The suspect Djuan D McLaurin Senior (46) of Lima is currently being held at the Allen County Jail on a single count of Murder.
Ohio BCI assisted the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at the scene. No further information is available at this time.
It is not known if the arrest of Nathaniel McLaurin (30) at 5 am this morning on two charges of 3rd degree felony strangulation and domestic violence are a part of the above murder case.
