(10-9-23) World Mission Sunday is celebrated each year by the Roman Catholic Church around the world. This year, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s World Mission Sunday Mass will be held for the first time at the Holy Redeemer Church, 120 S Eastmoor Dr., New Bremen, on Sunday, October 22.
Archbishop Dennis Schnurr of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will preside, and Fr. Jeffrey Kirch, C.PP.S., will be the homilist. Fr. Kirch is the provincial director of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, United States Province. Holy Redeemer is part of the Christ Our Light Family of Parishes; Fr. Ken Schnipke, C.PP.S., is the pastor.
Prelude music by various visiting choirs will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the Mass begins at 3 p.m. A festive dinner will follow in the parish hall, adjacent to the church. All are welcome to both the Mass and the dinner, to this celebration of the many cultures that make up the Roman Catholic Church.
