(9-25-23) Trace Bates is one of the 19 children of the reality TV series ‘Bringing Up Bates‘. His wife Lydia and her family the Romeikes are originally from Germany and have lived in the United States for 15 years. They moved to this country in search of asylum because they wanted the freedom to homeschool, and as a result have garnered attention from the media.

Just before Trace and Lydia’s baby Ryker’s recent arrival, the Romeike family went to a routine check-in at an immigration office and was told to return in one month from that day for self-deportation. Even though Lydia is married to a U.S. citizen, she is also facing deportation. Lydia’s parents, Uwe and Hannelore Romeike, have seven children. Five are adults, and two are under the age of 18.

Below Trace on their podcast gives details of what is taking place….

We Are Facing DEPORTATION…

The southern border of the US is open to a daily invasion of illegal immigrants who cross the border without documentation or permission to enter.

The Biden administration announced recently the expansion of a form of humanitarian relief to Venezuelans already in the United States, making hundreds of thousands more people eligible for work permits and likely appeasing calls by New York City officials to provide work authorization to certain migrants.

According to the Border Patrol agents have apprehended roughly 140,000 migrants who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border without authorization during the first 20 days of September, an average of about 6,900 each day, according to the internal agency data. That represents a 60% increase from the daily average of 4,300 in July.

This leads to the question to why is pressure now being applied to a German family who has resided in the US for 15 years suddenly facing deportation? Two of their children are married to Americans, two of their younger children were born here.

The Romeikes, who have followed the laws of political immigration, should be given a high priority in this legal process to remain in the US. They have been valued members to their community in Tennessee. Denying them is not the right thing to do.
