(5-27-23) Two inmates, James Lee and Bradley Gillespie, who escaped from the Allen/Oakwood Correctional Institution did it by hiding in a dumpster. Four employees of the facility have been put on paid administrative leave.

Gillespie, who is serving a life sentence for 2 murders, evaded police officials in Kentucky and remains at large. Lee was captured several days ago in Henderson County Kentucky.

As part of the ongoing internal investigation surrounding the escape of two inmates from the Allen/Oakwood Correctional Institution this week, it has been determined that the pair exited the prison after concealing themselves in a dumpster. Four employees have been placed on paid administrative leave as the internal investigation progresses.
Below are the names and positions of the employees.
- Carl Bendross, Major
- Tre’mon Glenn-Crawford, Correction Officer
- Lain Patterson, Correction Officer
- Taylor Robey, Correction Officer
All of the above employees received the same letter from prison officials –
