(4-3-23) Mercer County Engineer, Jim Wiechart announced today, contingent upon weather conditions, Tom’s Construction, Inc. plans to start construction work Monday, April 17, 2023 on County Road 716A, between SR 274 and County Road 219A.

The improvements will involve the placement/replacement of pipe/tile and catch basins in the right-of-way, as well as dirt shoulder widening.  In general, the catch basins, pipe, tile and mailboxes will be set further away from the edge of pavement in the right-of-way.  No pavement widening is being done as part of this project.  The road will be closed intermittently to through traffic and local access will be maintained.  The completion deadline for the project is early summer 2024.
