(2-12-23) The Celina FFA has been very busy the last few weeks. Three of the Celina FFA officers received a gold rating on their officer books; Savannah Jacobs received a gold rating on her Reporter’s book, Riley Masters received a gold rating on her Secretary’s book, and Matthew Albers received a gold rating on his Treasurer’s book. These officers have spent a lot of time on their officer books and we are very proud of them and all of their hard work.

Wagner, Albers and Knapke
Matthew Albers also participated in the Drop the Mic public speaking contest and at the Wilmington College Speaking Invitational. He placed well in both competitions he participated in. Ava Knapke participated in the Advanced Prepared Public Speaking Contest where she drafted a speech to memorize and perform in front of judges. She placed 2nd at Sub-Districts. Gavin Wagner participated in the Creed speaking contest where he recited the FFA Creed in front of judges.

Tim Novitzke and Nathan Mullins participated in the Ag Power Diagnostics CDE. They were tasked with working together to find two bugs on each of the four pieces of equipment provided. We are proud of all of the hard work these students put into their CDE competitions.

The Celina FFA also sent a few members to the Connect I Am Conference Leadership. These members learned many leadership skills that are necessary for success all the way through life. The Celina FFA also invited the 8th graders to their classroom so they could meet the officers and other members and learn more about the FFA program. On the first day of recruitment, the Celina FFA had the State Reporter, Aly Murphy, visit the FFA members and she had the opportunity to speak to the 8th graders and all of the Celina FFA Chapter.
The Celina FFA also held their monthly meeting for January at the bowling alley where they voted on upcoming events and finished the night bowling. We are very proud of all of our members and all of their hard work!
