COLUMBUS (2-3-23) – State Representative Susan Manchester (R-Waynesfield) has been recently appointed to vice-chair the House Commerce and Labor Committee.

In addition to the vice-chairmanship, Manchester has also been appointed to serve as a member of the Agriculture, Behavioral Health, Families and Aging, and Health Provider Services committees.

Manchester said

“I am pleased that I can continue to work on legislation to help our health system and Ohio families. I also look forward to looking into legislation to help Ohio’s workforce and business climate to make this state a leader in commerce.”

Manchester has previously served on health, families and human services committees where she championed the creation of the Ohio Youth and Family Ombudsman Office through the Department of Jobs and Family Services to advocate for the safety and protection of children.

These committees will hear introduced legislation that is topically relevant in an effort to offer suggestions to improve legislation, make sure it is in the best interest of Ohio and recommend the legislation for a House vote once the committee process is complete.

House committees can be streamed live on www.ohiochannel.org.
