(11-29-22) At the Celina Kiwanis Club’s November 16th meeting, Celina Kiwanis member Rick Cordonnier gave a presentation about The Gardens at Celina and St. Henry. Both highly rated facilities offer rehabilitation and therapy, skilled nursing, assisted living and long term care. The rehabilitation and therapy services offer post orthopedic surgery care, post cardiac care, balance training as well as other specialties. Clients can receive skilled nursing care for pain management, IV therapy, Bi-Pap/CPAP management, wound care, dialysis, and pulmonary care protocols. The Gardens accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most other commercial insurance.

During the business portion of the meeting, President Linda Goodwin installed Brad Brookhart as president-elect for the 2022—2023 year.

Members signed up to donate supplies for the Reindog Pancake Breakfast. The breakfast co-chairs gave the times for setting up on Friday and working on Saturday.

The winners of the Kiwanis Reindog coloring contest were the following: Kindergarten–1st  place Audrey Hinton, 2nd place Ruby Burnett, Honorable Mention—Olivia Rose Goff, Harper Jarrett, Lillian Slusser, Lola Roediger, Carson Gray,Elly Dillinger, Amara Gideon, Summer Belij;  First Grade–1st place Nate Green, 2nd place Cecilia David, Honorable Mention—Charlotte Butler, Haley Schott, Jake Muhlenkamp, Ellie Seitz, Ryker Emans, Rio Piper, Payton Schneider, Sophia Worrell.  

Linda May, Sue Siebert, Dale Hart and President Goodwin volunteered to sell chances to “Guess the Score”  of the OSU/Michigan game.

Finally, members made travel arrangements to attend the Division 2/ Division 3 combined fall meeting.
