(11-19-22) Heather Marie Vanwoert (32) of Celina was arrested yesterday by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and  has been charged with felony and misdemeanor charges that include:

  • On four counts of Prohibitions Concerning Companion Animals, a 2nd degree misdemeanor
  • On four counts of Cruelty to Animals…torture, a 2nd degree misdemeanor
  • On four counts of Prohibitions Concerning Companion Animals…torture animal by person who confines or who is the custodian or caretaker, a 5th degree felony

HeatherVanwoert is being held in the Mercer County Adult Detention Center without bond until an appearance in Mercer County Common Pleas Court. 

Her husband Lucas,was arrested on August 28th after Homeland Security raid in Montezuma and charged in October on a four-count indictment with possession and transportation of child pornography, transportation of obscene materials and creating an animal crush video.
