(11-17-22) The Celina City Schools at its October 17th Board of Education meeting hired a new Treasurer-

Mawer was scheduled to start today in her new position, but that looks to be delayed for at least another month.

According to a vwindependent.com story Mawer has agreed to stay on as interim treasurer at the Van Wert City Schools until her replacement is in place, which is expected to be at least a month.

According to the story the board has agreed in principle with one of the recently interviewed candidates, the interim agreement with Mawer will provide time to finalize a contract with the new treasurer and allow them to give the district a reasonable amount of time to complete their search.

“We definitely appreciate Ms. Mawer’s willingness and ability to help us out during this transition period. It is very much appreciated.”

The Celina Board of Education is scheduled to meet for its regular monthly meeting this Monday night, the agenda has not yet been posted on the system’s web site.
