(11-16-22) The church members also heard a wonderful presentation on November 13, 2022 by Jerry Schaadt, Vietnam Veteran, who recently was able to go on the Honor Flight to Washington DC. He was accompanied by his daughter, Cari (Schaadt) Rolsten. Jerry was able to visit 5 war monuments and have the casket flag of his friend the late Dennis Laffin dedicated at the Vietnam Wall. Laffin’s grandson was able to participate at the Wall ceremony. Jerry met up with a fellow soldier that he had not seen in 50 years. Arlington Cemetery and the Changing of the Guard impressed him the most. On the way home, all the veterans received one last mail call from family and friends. He was very moved by the letters he received.
