(11-8-22) Update: Downtown Lima Inc. picks up Christmas Event one day after “Flip the Switch” is canceled:

Downtown Lima, Inc. welcomes the community to a new tradition, Lights on Lima, on Friday, November 25, from 4pm to 6pm in the Town Square.

“Each year, Downtown Lima, Inc. is responsible for the holiday décor downtown, so we were happy to step in to create a new event to allow our community to gather around the Christmas Tree and celebrate the start of the holiday season. Santa’s magic is all we need to light the downtown tree!”

The Lima Fire Department hangs the annual tree downtown each year and Lights on Lima will bring the tree to life. The event is currently being planned with help from the City of Lima, Woof Boom Radio, ArtSpace/Lima and other community partners.

Lima, OH – Mix 103.3 deeply regrets to announce that it is cancelling its popular holiday event, ‘Flip the Switch’. This free family-friendly event traditionally kicks off the holiday season in downtown Lima with carolers, games, entertainment, holiday crafts, a visit from Santa, and, to crown the evening, the turning on of the lights on the Christmas tree on Town Square

“We are disappointed that we are being forced to cancel ‘Flip the Switch’ this year. There were scheduling conflicts with other events in downtown Lima which we were unable to resolve.”

Mix 103.3 is one of many iHeart stations across the country that switches to all Christmas music during the Holiday season.
