(9-21-22) Mercer Health held their annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet on Monday, August 8 at Romer’s Catering in Saint Henry. The banquet is held each year to celebrate the accomplishments of the members of the Volunteer Association of Mercer Health.

The evening began with an invocation delivered by Volunteer Board Chairperson David Nicholson and included the presentation of the first annual scholarship from the Volunteer Association. Taylor Siefring of Coldwater was awarded a $1,500 scholarship. Guest speakers for this year’s event included Mercer Health CEO Lisa Klenke and Mercer Health CFO Jon Dingledine.

Awards and recognition were held for hours donated in 2020 and 2021. In 2020, 4,190.5 hours were donated to Mercer Health. Individual achievement awards for 2020 were also distributed and included: 4000 hours, Oliver Wendel; 1000 hours, Mary Langenkamp; 500 hours, Charles Selhorst; and 250 hours, Alan Diller. In 2021, 7,073.75 hours were donated to Mercer Health. Individual achievement awards were also distributed and included: 5000 hours, Irene Seitz; 2000 hours, Connie Wynk; 1000 hours, Roberta Dunham and Janet Steinbrunner.
