(8-31-22) The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office announces the hiring of 9-1-1 Dispatcher Alexis Metz.


Alexis started in the 9-1-1 dispatch center in May of this year. She is currently in her senior year at the Lake campus majoring in psychology and minoring in crime and justice. She is a graduate of Van Wert High School and still resides in Van Wert.

Her favorite part of working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher is being able to do her part in helping individuals through some of their hardest moments, and getting to work with an amazing group of co-workers! In her free time Alexis like to spend time with her friends and family, read, and watch true crime documentaries.
