(8-22-22) On August 24th on Netflix the series MO will debut. One of the show’s stars is Celina native Cherien Dabis. Dabis graduated from Celina High in 1994. Her dad, Dr. Nazih J. Dabis, was a pediatrician for many years in Celina.

Dabis is very established as an actress, director, producer, and screenwriter. She was named one of Variety magazine’s 10 Directors to Watch in 2009.

Mo Najjar straddles the line between two cultures, three languages and a ton of bullshit as a Palestinian refugee constantly living one step away from asylum on the path to U.S. citizenship.
