(6-28-22) Cole Fischbach (27) was sentenced Monday to serve six months in the Auglaize County Jail followed by five years of post-release supervision.

Fischbach, the former boys basketball coach at New Knoxville, was convicted in May of two counts of disseminating material harmful to a juvenile who was a New Knoxville female student, both charges are first-degree misdemeanors.

Fischbach was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and serve 360 days in jail with six months suspended. Auglaize Common Pleas Court Judge Frederick Pepple ordered Fischbach to cease all communication with the victim and her family. Fischbach is barred from being alone in a vehicle with any minor that is not a family member and ordered to delete Snapchat, a messaging app that he used to communicate with the female student.
