About the Miss Lake Festival Scholarship Program
The Miss Lake Festival Scholarship Program is a scholarship pageant working to provide personal and professional opportunities for young women to promote their voices in culture, politics and the community. The Miss Lake Festival Program provides a forum for today’s young women to express their viewpoints, talents and accomplishments to a panel of judges and an audience during the onstage competition and to the public-at-large during the ensuing year. The Miss Lake Festival Pageant is a preliminary pageant where the winner will earn a spot on the Miss Ohio stage and the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss America. Young women in Mercer County and Auglaize County are eligible to compete for the title of Miss Lake Festival.
In 1954, the Miss America Organization began supporting women’s education by offering its first scholarship. Today, the Miss America Organization is one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and one of the world’s largest providers of scholarship assistance for young women. Each year, the Miss America Organization makes available millions in cash and tuition scholarship assistance. For years the Miss Lake Festival Program has provided some of the top scholarship awards among local pageants in the state of Ohio, and with your help we hope to continue that tradition. Our committee members work all year to raise the funds distributed at the Miss Lake Festival Scholarship Pageant in July.
