(5-6-22) The Ohio Redistricting Committee passed previously rejected 3rd set of maps submitted maps by the state’s Supreme Court with a 4-3 vote last night, with one Republican, State Auditor Celina’s Keith Faber, voting against approving the maps.

Governor DeWine voted to resubmit the third set of maps.

Faber, who voted against the Feb. 24 maps, opposed them again over concerns that too many districts are split to favor Democrats.

The Ohio Redistricting Commission had until 9 a.m. this morning to submit a fifth round of state House and Senate maps.

The third set of maps match Ohio’s voting preferences with Republicans winning about 54% of the vote and Democrats 46% in statewide races over the past decade.
