The The Allen County Coroner’s Office says the cause of death for all four children is smoke inhalation and thermal burns. The manners of their deaths are still “pending investigation.”

The children, all siblings were identified

  • 10-year-old Matthew Damron
  • 5-year-old Johnnie Mann-Goff
  • 3-year-old Jefferson Goff
  • 2-year-old Rosalynn Goff,

The mother of the four children who died in the fire, Jessica Mann (30), remains in an Indianapolis hospital after suffering severe burns.

The names of the other three adults who were in the home at the time of the fire and escaped have been released.

According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department:

  • Audrey Kistler, 24, of Fort Wayne
  • Samuel R. Barnett, 17, of Fort Wayne
  • Travis J. Garrison, 18, of Waterloo

The Allen County Coroner’s Office says that the names of the children will not be released until autopsies are completed.

No word on the cause of the fire that remains under investigation.

(4-21-22) Four children, who ranged in the age of 1 to 7, have died after fire consumed a mobile home in the 4700 block of Grassy Lane, in the Dupont Estates off East Dupont Road near North Clinton Street in Ft. Wayne this morning.

Four adults were able to make it out of the mobile home. All of the adults were hospitalized.

Fire crews were called around 8:30 a.m and arrived to find flames throughout the mobile home. The mobile home sustained heavy fire, water and smoke damage.

Two vehicles were in the driveway, with a large blue tarp covering the front end of a pickup.

According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department the Allen County Coroner declared the children deceased at 9:47 a.m.

The fire is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Fire Department, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Allen County F.A.S.T. Team, and Indiana State Fire Marshal.

The identities of the children will be released later by the coroner’s office, along with the official cause and manner of their deaths.
