Andrew Crust is a versatile conductor with broad experience conducting orchestras, ballet, opera, and pop programs across North and South America and Europe. In addition to his position as Music Director of the Lima Symphony Orchestra since 2020, Crust is currently the Associate Conductor of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. In the current and upcoming seasons Andrew will debut with the Arkansas, Rockford, Elgin and Vermont Symphonies as Music Director finalist with soloists such as Tracy Silverman, Stella Chen, Shannon Lee and Wei Luo, and with the San Diego Symphony, Billings Symphony and Calgary Philharmonic and Sewannee Summer Music Festival as a guest conductor, and will lead performances of Le nozze di Figaro across Spain in 2023. Other recent engagements include performances with the Winnipeg Symphony, Memphis Symphony, Hartford Symphony, Bozeman Symphony and l’Orchestre de la Francophonie in Québec.

The Lima Symphony In-School programs provide an opportunity for up-close, interactive music experiences for hundreds of children of all ages in Allen County. Students have the chance to ask questions and hear about guest artists’ experiences. These relaxed, often informal presentations make music accessible and interesting for children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to hear live music. This visit is part of the Lima Symphony’s ongoing commitment to educational outreach and programming in our community and is generously underwritten by Dominion Energy and Lima Pathology.
