(3-30-22) Ohio’s unemployment rate was 4.2% in February 2022, down from 4.3% in January 2022. Ohio’s nonagricultural wage and salary employment increased 6,700 over the month, from a revised 5,432,700 in January to 5,439,400 in February 2022.

Holmes County at 2.9% is lowest rate in Ohio, Monroe County had Ohio’s highest rate of unemployment at 8.3%.

Mercer County was 2nd lowest at 3.0%. In the Stateline area Auglaize County was at 3.6%, Van Wert was 3.9%, Shelby at 4.0% and Darke County at 4.1%.

Allen County saw the largest increase from 4.8 to 6%.
