(12-18-21) Maria Stein resident Dave Buschur has announced his candidacy for Mercer County Commissioner in the May 2022 Republican Primary. Buschur will challenge current Commissioner Greg Homan who is up for re-election next year.
He is the President and owner of Buschurs Custom Farm Services.

I’m a husband, father, small business owner and proud Marion Local Flyer. I was born, raised, and worked on a dairy farm outside of North Star, but Mercer County has been my home for over 10 years. This county has given me so much—a safe, secure community to build a home and raise a family and ongoing support while growing a successful business. I want to give back to the members of this community that have provided me with so much opportunity by serving as your next County Commissioner.We need strong, respectful leadership to fairly and accurately reflect and represent the kind, hardworking people of our county.
We need leadership that strives to better our community by attracting quality employers, supporting our agricultural base and ensuring we protect the qualities of life that keep our region thriving. I promise to take on these challenges like I do everything in my life—I will dig in on day one with a wholehearted passion.
