(11-8-21) According to tonight’s Celina City Council agenda the members will consider an amended abortion ordinance in a 2nd reading. The changes with the ordinance were not a part of the council mailing.
Two weeks ago the council voted against the ordinance 4-2. The sanctuary city for the unborn ordinance has received regional and some national attention since it was introduced.
The full council meeting is scheduled to start at 7pm, the meeting is proceeded by a Personnel and Finance Committee meeting at 5:30pm.
Some feel that ‘freedom of speech’ is an issue at this meeting, audience communication tonight is limited to Celina residents only.
