Booster Vaccination Clinic

Mercer Health will host a COVID-19 Booster Vaccination clinic on Friday, November 5 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Mercer County Community Hospital. This clinic is for booster doses only; the Moderna vaccine booster, which is approved as a booster for any of the COVID-19 vaccines, will be given.  Appointments are required and can be made Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm by calling 419-678-5395.

Criteria for the booster vaccine must be met in accordance with CDC guidelines, including timing eligibility which is at least six months following completion of the primary two dose series of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and at least two months following the first dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Future booster clinics will be offered; communication will be shared on these clinics at the appropriate time.

Walk-In COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

Walk-in COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics continue to be held each Tuesday from 9-10:00am and 5-6:00pm at Mercer County Community Hospital (West Entrance), 800 W. Main St., Coldwater. This clinic is for the primary vaccine series and 3rd dose for the immunocompromised, as defined by the CDC. Appointments can be made but are not necessary. Visitor Restrictions

To ensure the health and safety of our patients, visitors and staff, Mercer Health continues to follow the guidelines for healthcare facilities recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The latest visitor guidelines for each location and department can be found at mercer-health.com/covid-19-coronavirus-information.  

It should be noted that visitor restrictions for hospital inpatients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 are permitted one visitor per day:

  • Visitation must be scheduled by calling the nurses station. Visitation is limited to (1) hour a day.
  • All visitors must sign a “Consent for Visitation” form upon arrival to the unit.
  • All visitors must agree to utilize the required personal protective equipment for the duration of the visit. This includes a gown, gloves, mask, and eye protection.
  • Visitors must keep hospital issued identification badge on at all times. 
  • Visitors must check out at the screening desk prior to departure.
