Columbus, Oh: (10-11-21) The Minster Electric Department was honored for its achievements throughout the past year during the 2021 American Municipal Power (AMP) Annual Conference.

The Minster Electric Department received an AMP System Improvement honorable mention for the Northwest Substation Project. The project consisted of the reconstruction of an electrical substation that supplies power to approximately half of the village’s residential homes, a large commercial area and two major industrial customers.

Additionally, the Minster Electric Department received an AMP Safety Commendation in the Transmission and Distribution category in recognition of having less than one percent time lost due to reportable accidents.

The AMP Annual Conference took place Sept. 20–22 in Columbus and offered a virtual option for remote attendees. The organization’s premier event featured presentations and panel discussions by industry experts and speakers from AMP partner organizations.
