(9-27-21) – Today in Darke County Common Pleas Court Richard M. Bowman (59) of New Weston was found guilty of the April, 2020 aggravated murder of his wife Teresa Bowman (60). A forensic examination of Teresa revealed that her death was the result of strangulation.
Judge Jonathan P. Hein was on the bench for the trial.
After a short deliberation the jury found Richard guilty of one count of aggravated murder, a first-degree felony, in order to be with his mistress and collect Teresa’s life insurance policies.
Richard will be sentenced at a later date and faces a life sentence in prison.
