(7-28-21) On July 23, the Zahn-Marion Township Library completed its 2021 summer reading program, “Tails and Tales” with a party to celebrate held at the Marion Local Elementary gym in Maria Stein.

The top two readers in grades one through five were announced at the start of the party. They are first-grade – Trayson Stachler, 1,060 points and Juli Wynk, 930 points; second grade – Ruth Cully, 4,748 points and Laina Koesters, 2,229 points; third-grade – Micah Koesters, 4,352 points and Charlie Siefring, 1,980 points; fourth-grade – Isaac Siefring, 2,365 points and Owen Hess, 2,100 points; fifth-grade – Quinn Moeller, 2,465 points and Norah Koesters, 2,457 points. The top readers each received an “Tails and Tales” t-shirt for their accomplishment.
Entertainment at the party was provided by children’s singer/songwriter, Zak Morgan.
The program concluded with prizes, awards and certificates for all the summer reading participants. The children were congratulated for all their hard work.
