Police and medics were called to the home on Sunday night around 6:45 p.m. after receiving a 911 hang-up from the home. Officers eventually made contact with a woman at the home and found she’d been shot multiple times in the chest and abdomen. Vonholdt died Tuesday morning.

On Monday Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach announced the arrest of a woman at the RoadDog Convenience Store in Willshire. Sheriff Riggenbach stated his Office received a phone call at 10:35 am today about a woman walking around with a gun.

According to several media sites Vonholdt had been arrested in Whitley County in late November and had an outstanding warrant for her in Allen County (Ind).
