(6-23-21) The Auglaize County Service Unit of the Salvation Army has established two $500 scholarships to recognize graduating seniors in Auglaize county. These scholarships are made available through the Red Kettle program.
Kirsten Brotherwood, a 2021 graduate of Memorial High School, will be attending Hocking Technical College in Nelsonville this fall. She will major in a fairly new program called Animal Assisted Therapy. This program teaches student how they are able to train and use animals to assist and console people in need of therapy for any reason.
While attending MHS, Kirsten was involve with SMABB, Symphonic Choir where she received the Outstanding Vocalist award and was a member of the MHS bowling team and drama club.
Kirsten also was involved with Holy Rosary Youth group as well as assisting at Agape and assisting with Goodfellows.
