(5-26-21) Sarah Flenar has been named the new Business Director for the Mercer County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Flenar has over five years of accounting experience in the private sector and nearly five years of financial experience in the public sector.
Flenar comes from the Auglaize County Board of DD where she most recently served as the Individual and Medicaid Services Manager. In that capacity she provided direct leadership to the Service and Support Team that is responsible for writing ISPs and securing Medicaid services for over 200 individuals with developmental disabilities.
Flenar was born and raised in the St. Henry School District and still lives there today. She has four daughters and enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
“I am truly looking forward to being a part of the Mercer County DD team. My previous experience and training over the past four years at Auglaize County DD will be a big help with transitioning to my new role as the Business Director. I will make every effort to help lead the organization so we can continue to meet the team’s mission.”
Flenar will be taking over the head financial position from Tonya Clark who will assume the role of Superintendent for the Darke County Board of DD at the end of the year.
The Mercer County Board of DD is a local government agency that works to empower people throughout their lifetime to achieve their fullest potential.
