CELINA (5-25-21) – The Mercer County Health District (MCHD) has a surplus of personal protective equipment (PPE) available for distribution. Over the course of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the MCHD received shipments of PPE from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) for use in the local COVID-19 response. The PPE was to ensure healthcare providers, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and long-term care workers had the equipment they needed to protect themselves and those they serve.

Although a large amount of PPE was distributed during the peak of the COVID-19 response, MCHD now has excess PPE and is looking to distribute items to members of our community, businesses, or organizations who may benefit from them. The following items are available:

  • N95, KN95, and KN90 masks
  • Simple procedure masks
  • Face shields
  • Gloves: latex, vinyl, and Nitrile (Small – XL)
  • Gowns

Anyone interested in any of these items can contact Kara Ransbottom by email at kransbottom@mchdohio.org.
