(4-9-21) The upcoming election of a new mayor in Lima added another new episode to the soap opera that has developed. All four candidates have had legal issues recently that has put the focus on the May primary.
Autumn Swanson (41), one of four Lima Mayor candidates, was found guilty today of having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence from an incident that took place in February. Swanson was originally charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
She must pay a $250 fine and court costs, sentenced to 30 days in jail, which were all suspended, pending the completion of a driver intervention program and have no further OVI or alcohol-related offenses in the next two years.
This is the second time she has been to court on similar charges since 2018 when she was arrested on an intoxication charge, she pleaded no contest and was found guilty.
