CELINA- (2-2-21) The Mercer County Health District (MCHD) is seeking volunteers from our community to assist with COVID-19 vaccination clinics. Clinics are generally planned for Wednesdays and Fridays at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.

Volunteers frequently assist with the following functions: signing in, registering and collecting insurance information, reviewing forms, providing education, vaccinating, directing traffic, and observation during the fifteen-minute waiting period after vaccination. Although registered nurses, EMTs, or pharmacists can assist with administering the vaccine, volunteers of all backgrounds who can participate in one or more of the tasks listed above are welcome.

The MCHD has been fortunate to receive a great deal of assistance from our county/community partners and volunteers. However, we understand our clinics will be running for the foreseeable future and we would like to expand our team to further spread out the workload. If you are interested in assisting, please contact Bill Steinbrunner at BSteinbrunner@mchdohio.org.
