(Celina, Ohio) 12-29-20 – Grand Lake’s biggest advocate and now superhero Kevin Klosterman made a daring rescue of a beloved dog in the cold and icy water of the lake.
Watch the resuce –
A 1-year-old therapy golden retriever named Gunner fell through the ice. Gunner’s owners Jeremy and Lisa Aller were out of town and had family members keeping an eye on Gunner. But Gunner would escape through the back door and off he went.
When Klosterman found out about the dog struggling in the frozen water…he jumped into action.
He told WDTN –
“The stopwatch started before he gave me the phone call so you only have five minutes or so and I didn’t know exactly what we were going into. It would’ve been horrible if this had a tragic ending, we’d all be talking about that dog that died up on the channel.”
Ayden Aller told WDTN he wanted to send a special thank you to Klosterman
“If he’s listening, I just want to say thank you very much and I say that from the bottom of my heart. If I would’ve lost Gunner, I don’t know what I would’ve done.”
