(COLUMBUS, Ohio) (10-7-20) — The Division of State Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau is seeking tips from the public regarding an intentionally set fire at West Bank Park in Celina (Mercer County).
Remnants of the fire were discovered at approximately 8:19 a.m. Sept. 29 in the public restroom building at 1199 West Bank Road. There was also damage to several boats in the area, which investigators believe are connected to the fire.
The property is owned by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by the State Fire Marshal’s office, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Celina Fire Department. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this fire.
