CELINA- Five new confirmed COVID 19 deaths have been reported in Mercer County.
The 21st Mercer County resident to die from COVID-19 was a 72-year-old male from Celina.
The 22nd Mercer County resident to die from COVID-19 was a 97-year-old female from Coldwater.
The 23rd Mercer County resident to die from COVID-19 was a 90-year-old female from Coldwater.
The 24th Mercer County resident to die from COVID-19 was an 84-year-old male from Celina.
The 25th Mercer County resident to die from COVID-19 was an 89-year old male from Celina.
The Mercer County Health District (MCHD) is reporting 872 doses of vaccine were given at the annual flu shot drive-thru on Tuesday, October 6. This shatters the old record of 623 doses given in 2019.
If you were unable to attend the drive-thru clinic, there are still opportunities to get the 2020 flu vaccine.

The MCHD flu shot drive-thru was staffed by 63 individuals, which included employees of the MCHD, Mercer County Emergency Medical Services, Mercer County Emergency Management Agency, Mercer County Job & Family Services, Wright State Lake Campus Nursing students, Wright State Lake Campus Police Academy, Mercer County Medical Reserve Corps, and Mercer County Emergency Response Volunteers.
