(8-26-20) At their monthly board meeting, the Kiwanis Club of Celina reviewed options for their annual Reindog Pancake Breakfast. The club will contact Grand Lake St Paul’s to see if the breakfast can b held there, its usual location. Lori Vian will also contact the Celina Knights of Columbus for possible use of their hall.

Members voted to donate $100 in memory of longtime Coldwater Kiwanis Club member Maury Cron. The club also donated to the St Marys Tailgate for Cancer Fund. The club received a $40 donation from Lt. Governor-elect Bob Day. He spoke briefly about the Ohio District’s goals for the 2020—2021 year. The group also received a $20 donation from Megan Smith and a $1,005 donation from Linda Goodwin to help offset the lack of revenue from the cancellation of the Lake Festival.

The club was scheduled to sponsor the Mr. Potato Head Contest at the county fair, but chairperson Karen Perts told the club the contest had been canceled.

Dale Hart, Jenny Jamieson, Karen Perts, and Lori Vian helped President Kelly Westgerdes set up the club’s stand before the 127 Garage
Sale. Lily Westgerdes helped run the stand. The club made an $800 profit.
