(7-31-20) On July 24, the Zahn-Marion Township Library completed its 2020 summer reading program, “Imagine Your Story” with a party to celebrate held at the American Legion grounds in Maria Stein.

The top two readers in grades one through five were announced at the start of the party.  They are first-grade – Ruth Cully, 2,680 points and Lucas Moeller, 760 points; second grade – Charlie Siefring, 2,500 points and Melina Schoen, 1,500 points; third-grade – Isaac Siefring, 2,140 points and Brooklyn Moeller, 800 points; fourth-grade – Emma Everman, 400 points and Jordan Hamberg, 400 points; fifth-grade – Maci Knapke, 500 points and Cayden Kremer, 310 points.

The top readers each received an “Imagine Your Story” t-shirt for their accomplishment.

Entertainment at the party was provided by children’s singer/songwriter, Chip Richter.

The program concluded with prizes, awards and certificates for all the summer reading participants.  The children were congratulated for all their hard work.

Winners in the preschool reading program were Hudson Hess, Addison Koesters and Eli Schwieterman, pillows, Nora Hartings, mermaid tail blanket, Ellianna Homan and Evelyn Wolters, hooded throws, Anna Frey and Teddy Siefring, wooden puzzles, Katelyn Everman, unicorn treasure chest, Elijah Koesters and Mackenzie Moeder, stuffed animals, Dane Luebke, frog book, Asher Frilling, Thomas the train books, Easton Winner, pirates puzzles, Abram Cully, Corrine Bruns, Emma Guggenbiller, Tanner Homan and Lexon Moeder, Maria Stein Dairy Station gift certificates.

Winners in the grades one through fifth program were Carson Bruns, Troy Bruns, Madilyn Buschur, Ruth Cully, Alex Hamberg, Owen Hess, Breanna Homan, Trevor Homan, Marcus Hoying, Jackson Klosterman, Grant Kremer, Charlie Kunk, Lauren McClurg, Brooklyn Moeller, Lauren Prenger, Melina Schoen, Charlie Siefring, Allison Winner and John Wynk, prize buckets, Owen Bruns, Maci Knapke, Heidi Lause, Isaac Siefring and Myla Thobe, Maria Stein Dairy Station gift certificates.
