CELINA- As of Thursday, March 26, 2020, there are 867 confirmed cases, 223 hospitalizations, and 15 deaths in Ohio. The Mercer County Health District (MCHD) reports two positive cases, 13 pending cases and 1 hospitalization.
MCHD is committed to monitoring and promoting the health and welfare of the public. As we continue to monitor situations of COVID19 in the community, the information will be shared as is necessary to protect the public, while also considering the privacy of the rights of all those affected. No personal information about the positive cases will be released.
Upon notification of a positive COVID-19 case, the Mercer County Health District staff will begin a thorough investigation by contacting the person who tested positive and obtaining a list of that person’s close contacts. Those people are then contacted and advised that they need to quarantine at home and monitor symptoms.
