(9-27-19) On 9/26/2019, at about 8 p.m., a 25-year-old (not identified) Auglaize County woman was robbed at gunpoint, at the apartments located at 760 E. 4th Street, in Lima. The woman went to the apartments in response to an advertisement posted on the popular internet site “LetGo”.

The transaction involved the sale of a video gaming system and a cellular phone. The victim was given directions to the apartment complex, by a subject posing as an interested customer. When she arrived at the complex to sell the items, two male suspects got into her vehicle and used a gun to rob her of the gaming system and the cellular phone.

The suspects fled from the vehicle and went back into the apartment building. The woman fled unharmed and contacted the police. Second and third shift patrol officers, along with Lima Police Detectives began investigating the incident.

Just before 2:00 a.m., officers located and arrested the two suspects, inside one of the apartment buildings. The gaming system was recovered and the firearm was also located during the investigation.

The suspects arrested were Kirk Brenneman (18) and Jason Sledge (20), both of Lima. Both Brenneman and Sledge were charged with suspicion of aggravated robbery and held at the Allen County Jail.
