UPDATED – Driver Shot And Killed – US 30 Eastbound Lanes Closed In Van Wert County

12:40PM – The driver of the semi that took police on a multi-county chase in western Ohio Tuesday morning was fatally shot by police.

(9-3-19) According to a WANE TV posting,  a “situation” along U.S. 30 near Feasby Wisener Road, just east of the Indiana-Ohio state line in Van Wert County has forced the closure of the highway’s eastbound lanes.

The Allen County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Department reports that a pursuit began in Allen County, Ohio, around 8 a.m. and moved into Van Wert County. The vehicle crashed along U.S. 30 near Feasby Wisener Road. The situation came to a conclusion around 10 a.m.
