(4-26-19) Major flooding due to continued rainfall is hitting the Celina, Mercer County and the Stateline area this morning.

The flooding has caused two schools to be closed today –

Celina City Schools and IC School are now closed for Friday, April 26, 2019 due to high water. The students at Glen Helen will be transported back to Celina today as scheduled. The make up day will be May 29, 2019.

St. Marys City Schools are closed today due to high water

  • Brown Rd between Us Rte 127 & Meyer Rd

  • US 127 Southside of Celina to 274 is Closed, the South Detour is 29 to 66 to 274. The North Detour is 274 to 66 to 29.

Over 3.5” of rain last night. Still some flooding in areas. All roads in town are open. Use caution outside of town. Many roads detoured. Allow extra time to get wherever you are going.

updated 5pm – 4-26-19 – JAY CO. SHERIFF: National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for Jay Co until 9pm tonight.

PORTLANDIN Advisory: There is a potential of flooding in the downtown Portland area – Personnel are reporting at Wayne & First St for sand bags as a precaution

PORTLANDIN Advisory: Due to high water – The down town part of Meridian will be closed off until further notice. Please look for the alternate route provided.

Interstate 75 northbound, between Beaverdam and Bluffton, is closed. Traffic is detoured onto U.S. 30, state Route 103, state Route 103 and back to Interstate 75 northbound.

Interstate 75 southbound is one lane between Beaverdam and Bluffton.
