(12-14-18) A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of Echo Street in Celina at 3:37 PM December 13, 2018.  A K-9 from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office indicated the presence of narcotics, and a search was done on the vehicle.   Drug paraphernalia and a baggie with white crystal like substance were located in the vehicle. The crystal like substance was field tested, and was positive for Methamphetamine.  Taken into custody were the vehicle’s two occupants:

Angel A Storck (29) from Celina, was arrested and taken to the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility.  She was booked into the jail for Possession of Drugs, a felony of the 5th degree.  Judge Speelman set her bond at $50,000.00, subject to 10%.

Matthew J. Broerman (28) from rural St. Henry, was arrested and taken to the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility.  He was booked into the jail for Possession of Drugs, a felony of the 5th degree.  Judge Speelman set his bond at $50,000.00 subject to 10%.

HIT also developed information and conducted a subsequent investigation that led to a search warrant and additional arrests unrelated to the above traffic stop.  Deputies applied for and received a search warrant for a residence located at 314 Stella Street in Celina.  The search warrant was executed at 7:45 PM on December 13, 2018.  Numerous drug paraphernalia items were found throughout the residence.  Suspected drugs which include marijuana, crystal meth, and other substances were also located throughout the residence.   Finally, Officers recovered a loaded Ruger LCP 380 caliber handgun found inside the residence.  Taken into custody was:

Paige K. King (20) from 314 Stella Street, Celina, was arrested and taken to the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility.  She was booked into the jail for Possession of Drugs, a felony of the 5th degree.  Judge Speelman set bond at 50,000.00 subject to 10%.

Both cases will be referred to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for review.  The HIT team is comprised of Deputies and Officers from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Celina PD, and Coldwater PD.  These incidents remain under investigation.
