(12-11-18) The Kiwanis Club of Celina ushered in the Christmas season with their Reindog Pancake Breakfast and Parade. Although final bills have not yet been received, it appears the club will surpass last year’s profits. The club would like to thank all those who made the day a success, particularly the following volunteers: Jim Perts, Kelly May, Lauren and Caleb Stevenson, Nevaeh Peters, Gadge Redman, and Arrianna and Nancy Shinn. Grand Lake United Methodist Church-St. Paul’s opened its facilities for the breakfast and Building Manager Mark Armstrong helped the club set up and run the event. Russ Hagar chauffeured Santa to his house. The Celina Kiwanis Club thanks them for their assistance.
The winners of the coloring contest were announced after the parade. Kindergarten winners were Olivia Nevergall and Olivia Green. First grade winners were Braelyn Quinter and Reagan Mott. First place winners received bicycles. Second place winners received scooters. The club also ran a Guess-the-Score drawing for the OSU-Michigan game. The winner was Nicholas Wehrman.
