Celina, OH (11-5-18) – Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey today released the results of the 2018 Mercer County Adult Detention Facility State Inspection.  This year’s inspection focused on Reception and Release, Classification, Security, Housing, Sanitation, and Environmental Conditions, Communication, Visitation, Medical and Mental Health Services, Food Service, Recreation and Programming, Inmate Discipline, Administrative Segregation, Grievance, Staffing, and Staff Training.

“The jail is inspected by the Ohio Bureau of Adult Detention annually It is expected that we comply with the standards of care that they recommend, I am very proud of the staff here and the efforts that all of the corrections officers make to be in compliance.”  All of the standards that were evaluated were in compliance.

“We focus hard on the Security, Medical/Mental Health, and Sanitation areas. These areas are critical to inmate health.”
